Button Tiaras

The buttons of the two different tiaras, 4 button and 6 button, are not identical. The ones from the four-button-tiara look more like sunburst or star-design, while the ones from the six-button-tiara realy look like flowers with small leafesIt was sayed, that the buttons were the property of Carl XIV Johan. They are supposed to be a part of his gala uniform, perhaps from his days as french marshall. After that he had them placed on the king´s crown for hos coronation 1818, but they were later removed and made into tiaras. But, it could be older items and also used of Marshall Bernadotte, earlier the famous and amazing stomacher and brest decoration and hair jewels of the Queen Luisa-Ulrika.

Cut-Steel Tiara

Cut-steel tiara: A tiara of highly polished cut-steel set with gold in the designs
of oak leaves, acorns, flowers and feathers. Queen Josephine
may have brought it to Sweden, where it languished for many
years until rediscovered by Queen Silvia. For a period of time
cut-steel was a cheap alternative for women who wished to be
stylish but could not afford the real thing during the time
of the first French empire on to the Victorian era.

Biography Book for Crown Princess Victoria

Victoria says: “They wanted to clear that I would get the best possible support and backing for my job now and in the future. How could they know that Daniel could give me that? How would he do it?”
